Hemp flower? We hear it a lot… That’s CBD flower?!  It's hemp flower? It looks like marijuana. So what is CBD Flower anyway? Cannabidiol or CBD comes from hemp. Both hemp and marijuana belong to the same species, Cannabis sativa. The main distinction between hemp and marijuana is their THC & CBD content. Marijuana is high in THC and low in CBD. Hemp is high in CBD and very low in THC. Legally, hemp is defined as cannabis that contains 0.3 percent or less THC. So, hemp flower or a hemp-derived product such as CBD gummies don’t contain enough THC to create the “high” associated with marijuana. So is CBD flower legal? Yes. The 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized the growing and manufacturing of Hemp products in the United States.

There are so many strains of cannabis or CBD rich hemp it’s kinda mind blowing. Every strain has its own unique terpenes & flavonoids. Terpenes are what make certain strains smell or taste different from others. The aroma of hemp flower is usually a good way to tell if you will enjoy it over another strain. Let’s put it this way… would you be more at ease in a room that smells like tropical fruit or a room that smells like pine needles? I think you get the gist. Flavonoids are primarily responsible for giving cannabis or hemp plants their pigmentation or color.
